This Is The End is a load of self-indulgent twaddle, with self-indulgent references to the starring actor’s own films. Accompanying these references of course are a ton of popular culture odes, that are no more astute than of any episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which for the record - was done with greater insight. TITE is a film that has a continuous love affair with bad language and a fascination with drugs and smut, which by itself is not a crime - if it is done well - but it isn't - so it is a crime.

To sum up, TITE is a closet, stoner comedy that should have really been a 15 minute sketch made for TV. It offers nothing new and is quite a good example of why you don't make movies with all the actors playing themselves. If you do like that concept and want to see an example of how this should be done, then watch the mockumentary drama JCVD instead.
And is it just my eyes playing up? But I’m sure that the supernatural villain at the end of this movie, was the one and the same from Percy Jackson's Sea of Monsters? No matter, all you need to know about This Is The End is that you should only watch this film if you are studying; how not to make a movie. Or, if you are feeling quite happy and want to be thoroughly pissed off instead, I guarantee that viewing this, will have you angry that you wasted any part of your existence watching.
