Since the arrival of Count Dracula in 1897 courtesy of Bram Stoker, the dark prince has immediately fascinated audiences. And from his literature beginnings to his entrance into film, TV and stage, Dracula has had such an unwavering popularity through multiple centuries, that I can't really call his return to the silver screen 'a comeback'.
Lurking in the shadows of lesser vampiric efforts, Dracula has been absent but not forgotten and is once again ready to thrust his teeth into celluloid blood in Dracula: Untold, reminding us why we love his story above all other blood lusts.
This time menacing duties fall to Luke Evans, who will be playing what looks like the most powerful Dracula ever seen on screen, in the most epic telling of his tale. Luke Evans playing him should propel him even further up the Hollywood food chain, as his roles in Immortals, Fast & Furious 6 and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug are courting the right type of attention. He is also playing murdered guitarist come avenger Eric Draven in The Crow.
