I have loved Dr Who since I was a kid and I often catch the older episodes on The Horror Channel even now. And even though the special effects and razzamatazz of yesteryear can't compare to our present sfx and technical abilities, the delivery of the story is probably superior and what makes the series so enduring.
Of late, well since Russell T. Davies's departure, the story telling and the growth of the mythology has not been to my liking. Is there one person to blame or is the whole team accountable - I don't know, but can you imagine a Dr Who that looks and acts like Peter Capaldi under the reign of Davies?! We would have sampled such delights as never seen before!
