Rumours and speculation often surround high profile dramas and in the case of Luther there is no difference due to its major popularity. But some definitive facts have come out about the show. Firstly Luther will return to the BBC, but it is looking like we are going to get a film or 'one-shot' deal which frankly, is annoying as hell. The first season only had 6 episodes, the second 4. The third season also had 4 episodes...are the BBC trying to ween us off the show? Where as in the UK, we seem to be letting go of a good thing, the US is gearing up for a new adaptation of Luther. Yes, in true re-make it for the US audience fashion, Neil Cross will be writing and producing Luther for the Fox network, who have put in a serious amount of money to fund the project, but who will play Luther? | Although Idris will not reprising his main role in the US version of Luther, he will be returning to his secondary role as Executive Producer. |
