The DC stable for animated features retains its high pedigree in Superman Unbound.
The remnants of the house of El face a very creepy incarnation of Braniac; the sentient computer cyborg thingy that combines the worst ethoi of Galactus, Cyberdyne System's Skynet and the Sentinels from The Matrix.
As usual the animation is smooth and slick, but Unbound also has some of the most intelligent interactions I have seen in this type of feature. The story explores fear, the need to control and force others to live by your design and all this, is shown through each of the characters relationships with their friends, lovers, family and even the enemy.
