People are confused. Rap is the lyrical form that comes of Hip-Hop and other musical forms such as Funk and Jazz. James Brown, Millie Jackson and even boxer Muhammed Ali can be considered proto-rappers. But presently, not all rappers can say they are Hip-Hop...well nothing that pertains to its true foundations.
