Whether it's the main driving groove or the hidden backbone to a song, the bass guitar is sneakily one of the most versatile instruments that can immediately change the dynamic of a song. A bass guitarist's contribution is essential - even vital, often being the glue that holds the drums and whatever instruments are playing in the 'front' together.

The shape of music was changed forever in 1931, when Adolph Rickenbacker and George Beauchamp invented 'The Frying Pan' electric guitar. As a result; the instrument and its future upgrades helped give birth to new musical genres as well as induce change within existing ones. With the advent and rise of the guitar hero, here is my personal list favourite wielders of one of the most dynamic sonic instruments ever invented. Banging on things to create a beat is as old as time itself and so it only makes sense that one of the most enduring and forever used instruments in the world is the drum in some form. The most complicated formation still comes from the mode of the modern Jazz kit, though contributions from the genre of Heavy Metal have turned kits into mini-islands. Here is my rundown of super drummers now inducted into my hall of fame. For years Carlton Banks, played by Alfonso Ribeiro entertained the world with his geeky ways and in particular his dancing on the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
