Three different types of Funk/Soul bands playing the stage...which means I get to play a good variety of tunes in the warm-up session and in between sets. Miss it and miss out!

Amongst the many genres of music Brooklyn Bowl UK cater for, they continue to play host to Funk and Soul, with their monthly offering of 'Turn It Loose'. If you have the desire, to feel like you're trapped in a 1970s TV show, with cops jumping over car bonnets, then this is the soundtrack you've been looking for. Alternatively, if you like the smoother side of things and simply want a caressing, sonic massage in the form of sweet, sensual soul, look no further. Supporting Acts
DJ THAT DUDE D'LAMBERT I'll be supporting, Marcos Valle and also playing 2 dates in collaboration with the Prudential Bluesfest gigs all taking place at Brooklyn Bowl London. See you there! UPDATE...Update...I'll also be supporting the We Funk Radio team for their London visit during their European tour.
I'll be providing the soundtrack for the evening of Saturday July 25th, as we delve into another night of Brooklyn Bowl's monthly Funk & Soul night: Turn It Loose. Bands featured this time around are: PB Underground, Crowd Company and GOGO. PB UNDERGROUND "The PB UNDERGROUND (PBUG), led by drummer extraordinaire Pete Ray Biggin, are at the forefront of the New Wave of Funk and the UK’s hottest funk sensation. Recently nominated Best Live UK Show Of The Year for the Jazz FM Awards, the band recently released a highly anticipated new album ‘Stand Up’ to rave reviews." CROWD COMPANY "Experience some original retro funk and soul with a modern twist from the 8 piece band Crowd Company. With a brimful of energy, a raw edge, catchy hooks and tight grooves, the band have a finely tuned sound based around retro funk grooves with a soul edge. The band evokes the spirit of 60s and early 70s funk as well as modern day funk jam bands whilst also focusing on strong soulful songwriting." GOGO "GOGO are a jazz funk band featuring band members who have played with the likes of Joss Stone and Duran Duran. They have a groovey sound which blends together old school and new school funk influences from the likes of Herbie Hancock, Snarky Puppy, Lettuce. Since their 2014 debut at the Ealing Jazz Festival the band have been been busy gigging across the UK to great acclaim. Brooklyn Bowl UKs monthly Funk/Soul night continues to gather momentum and this months line-up promises to keep the juggernaut of brass soaked, guitar stroked and funky drumming going. I'll be on the wheels of steel warming the crowd up with frenetic Funk and heartfelt Soul, but the real stars will be on stage delivering the real deal live and direct. Last months Turn It Loose saw the Brooklyn Bowl stage play host to Jack Tyson Charles, Crowd Company and The Federation of Disco Pimp...
