The legacy of the Escovedo clan continues in Sheila E and at 57 she shows no sign of stopping or weariness. Brooklyn Bowl was fortunate to grab the drumming and percussionist maestro as the very last date of her tour and no one in the house was disappointed. This short, live footage does not do this trio and the richness of their sonics justice. I remember as I watched them perform, thinking 'who in the hell are they channelling to produce such a thick wall of sound?'.
