The legacy of the Escovedo clan continues in Sheila E and at 57 she shows no sign of stopping or weariness. Brooklyn Bowl was fortunate to grab the drumming and percussionist maestro as the very last date of her tour and no one in the house was disappointed. Sheila E's band also comprised of saxophonist Eddie M, and singer Lynn Mabry. But credit to all the musicians, as they were all masters of their craft.

Brooklyn Bowl UKs monthly Funk/Soul night continues to gather momentum and this months line-up promises to keep the juggernaut of brass soaked, guitar stroked and funky drumming going. I'll be on the wheels of steel warming the crowd up with frenetic Funk and heartfelt Soul, but the real stars will be on stage delivering the real deal live and direct.
