Exercise is boring. Well it is for me. Some might find that statement weird coming from someone who dances, does martial arts, loves gymnastics and a whole slew of other activities. But the thing is, I see these as sporting activities, where as exercise to me, is a deliberate set of movements to increase good health.
Going to the gym, long distance running, swimming and yoga in my mind, are all exercises strictly to do with improving health. They are the physical practices that give the body the right foundation to take part in what I label as sporting activities. It is not mandatory to train in these fields, but I tell you now, the best coaches, know that this essential short list, makes all the difference in producing fit bodies and champions. In normal civilian life, unless we have been ill or are trying to offset illness, than most of us will exercise to achieve a certain look. Of course there are some crazy folk who will do this for health and fun, but it seems that we now have another reason to all get moving...
